Part-Time Project Scheduler / Project Manager

We are seeking an organized and proactive Project Scheduler / Project Manager to support the execution of cross-functional development projects. The ideal candidate will help plan, schedule, track, and communicate project milestones, ensuring timely delivery of key objectives. This role requires strong project management expertise—and a background in electrical and software device development for medical electronic products is a strong plus.

This position is part-time with flexible hours and may grow into a full-time role, reporting directly to senior product leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize detailed project schedules across multiple workstreams (hardware, firmware, software, testing, regulatory, supply chain, etc.).

  • Coordinate dependencies and resource planning across internal teams and external partners.

  • Identify critical path, risks, and schedule impacts; propose mitigation strategies.

Execution & Tracking

  • Monitor project progress and milestones; maintain up-to-date dashboards and reports.

  • Facilitate effective hand-offs and communication across engineering, quality, clinical, and commercial teams.

  • Track action items and deliverables from design reviews, sprint planning, and cross-functional meetings.

Communication

  • Prepare and deliver status summaries and risk updates to leadership.

  • Support project meetings by setting agendas, documenting decisions, and following up on action items.

Process Improvement

  • Help refine project management processes and tools (e.g., scheduling, resource forecasting, risk scoring).

  • Promote consistency in documentation and timelines across product teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in project management or project scheduling, ideally with complex technology projects.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities.

  • Excellent communicator with a collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset.

  • Proficient with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana, Smartsheet)

  • Familiarity with cross-disciplinary product development environments involving hardware and software integration and manufacturing process development

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in electrical system development and embedded software for medical or consumer electronic devices.

  • Experience with medical device development lifecycles (design controls, risk management, verification/validation).

  • PMI certification
